Hawaii -- I have been searching how is the job market for legal foreigners residents and I couldn't find ANYTHING useful. I am going to write my experiences, since I am not a U.S. citizen, I am (finally) allowed to legally work in the U.S., have a Bachelors Degree in Business and an experienced professional in the Project Management area.

The last two weeks I have been running to have all my basic documents, like Social Security and driver license, since I've got my EAD (Employment Authorization Document)! All the process to get my AED took me 14 months, and it is the same amount of time that I am NOT working.

This Blog is not about getting documentation to work legally in the U.S. (because there is plenty of information about this on the internet!) but it is about all the challenges I am going thru to find a job in the Project Management area, which is what I am experienced with and which I love and want to keep working!

I am also a woman desiring to work in the "wild" american business world, speaking a non native language, but passionate and determinate to keep growing, learning and improving my skills (and I know that there is lots of people like me, with the same dreams and determination!).

The blog's name is something that I want to be one day, so I will share all my efforts to understand and apply in my life how someone can be a Fortune's 40 under 40 (as cited in the Fortune's page: "Meet business's hottest young rising stars. They're innovators, value creators, and agents of change.").

Thank you for reading my blog! Please, make comments and share your experiences!

See you soon!
